Passage, 2020
The Moss Arts Center and ICAT at Virginia Tech produced a grant project with a focus on the theme FLIGHT AND REFUGEE. Here is a link with more information:
This was a group project with Terlia Mercer, Mei Machuga, Spencer Silverman, and Ryan Swanson. It was overseen by Professor Chris Prichett.
The eyes were a crucial part of our short film. We emphasized the eyes for multiple reasons. First, in society’s situation dealing with COVID-19 we were all wearing masks, this left the eyes as the only means of distinguishing individuals as it was the only feature which could be seen at all times. People were now forced to communicate all emotion through the stare of the eyes.

I designed the postcard flyer for our video. I helped collect participants to take pictures of their eyes for the film. I also found supplementary videos online to add to our project.
